Well, I have been busy and totally skipped the month of November. Sorry...

The most important news for this month is that we have a new ADEC for Region 4 South. Welcome Chip N1MIE! Thank you for taking the possition. Region 4 has been without an ADEC for 4 South for a few months now and we are glad to have you.

As far as drills and public service events are concerned, there are very few in the next few months. One of the things we will probably have plenty of is winter weather to report to the National Weather Service. Please monitor the 147.225 or 147.060 repeater (both with a PL of 156.7) for possible Skywarn activations in Windham or New London County. Another thing that helps pass the time in the winter months is to take some training for ARES. I recomend taking a FEMA emergency management class online. They are free and if you pass the test at the end you will receive a nice certificate for your efforts. The FEMA courses can be found at: http://training.fema.gov/IS/crslist.asp
If you are taking a FEMA course for the first time, ARES recomends that you start with IS-100, IS-700, IS-800, then IS-200.
